Comments
: Oblivion is one of those games that you
just shouldn't start playing if you don't
have a couple hundred hours to spare, the
game is just huge and you can walk around
in the world of Oblivion forever finding
new tasks and quests to solve.. the gameplay
does get a bit stale once in awhile if you
focus on one type of task only, like closing
all the Oblivion gates, and that's where
I propably find the biggest downsite to
the game.. Related tasks just get too much
of the same ! If you closed 2 or 3
gates the rest of them really don't bring
any news to the game, they are just prety
much like the first gates.. same goes with
the caves etc. you explore, they have their
base models, and then more are copied from
that model.. With that said though, this
first realy aplies after about 100+
hours of game playing and often easily solved
by shifting task and simply finding something
new to do in the game and getting tasks
from the various guilds or people in the
game, or trying to become Grand Champion
in Arena fighting, so a change in game plan
will quickly put exitement back in the game
! and just like areal, tasks are also
in plenty so most gamers would likely never
run out of places to go or quests to solve..
No game without faults, and Oblivion has
it's shares of them, but no real major ones
and if you compare the price of the game
with entertainment value and hours spent
then it will be damn hard not calling this
game a good buy !!

Game Description :
|
|
Oblivion is a single-player game that takes place in Tamriel's capital
province, Cyrodiil. You are given the task of finding the hidden heir to a
throne that sits empty, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown
assassin. With no true Emperor, the gates to Oblivion (the equivalent of hell in
the world of Tamriel) open, and demons begin to invade Cyrodiil and attack its
people and towns. It's up to you to find the lost heir to the throne and unravel
the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.
In keeping with the Elder Scrolls tradition, players will have the option to
experience the main quest at their own pace, and there will be plenty of
opportunities to explore the vast world and make your own way. Numerous factions
can be joined, such as the thieves or mages guilds, and each contains its own
complete storyline and the chance to rise to the head of the faction and reap
further rewards.
Oblivion features a groundbreaking new AI system, called Radiant AI,
which gives non-player characters (NPCs) the ability to make their own choices
based on the world around them. They'll decide where to eat or who to talk to
and what they'll say. They'll sleep, go to church, and even steal items, all
based on their individual characteristics. Full facial animations and
lip-synching, combined with full speech for all dialog, allows NPCs to come to
life like never before. |
